Die Tiere können zudem ein Gewicht von zwölf Tonnen erreichen. Damit wäre der Walhai gemeinhin doppelt so lang und fast viermal so schwer wie sein sagenumwobener Artgenosse aus dem Kinokassenerfolg von Steven Spielberg des Jahres Diese Tiere können dem Menschen gefährlich werden, wenn sie nicht artgerecht gehalten und erzogen werden.
